Awake

Max arrives home to a surprise birthday party. His pregnant wife Vendela has arranged a gathering and his friends are all dressed up as characters from the circus. Max struggles to find a way to tell them some devastating news. Awake is a simple story of love, loss and mortality, told using powerful live music inspired by traditional gypsy, folk and Eastern European songs, beautiful aerial circus and physical theatre.

A story about health, harmony and the hunger to succeed told in words, acrobatics, music and dance. It’s performed by a multi skilled cast of actors and musicians from Sweden, Norway, England and Australia. An international ensemble of multi skilled performers gives you a simple story of change and transformation.
